Drums
I've been playing drums and percussion for over 30 years and have had the privilege of serving on worship teams for a total of nine years at Park Street Brethren Church (Ashland, OH), HisWay Bible Church (Vancouver, WA), and Hope Church (Phoenix, AZ). In addition to worship music, I've performed in jazz, rock, blues, swing, musical theater, orchestral and symphonic ensembles, marching percussion, and studio recording projects.
I studied classical percussion for six years and was selected to perform with a jazz sextet at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music despite being a business student rather than a conservatory student. I've also performed with original and cover bands and contributed to independently released recordings.
My heart for worship is simple: to support the worship leader, serve the congregation, and help create an environment where people can focus on Christ rather than the musicians on stage. I'm comfortable with click tracks, in-ear monitors, and charts, and I strive to be prepared, dependable, teachable, and easy to serve alongside.
